I, Ge’yla h Q. Bradford, Hereby agree to perform the one- woman show “Power of the Tongue” for Your College on A standard show will be performed, question and answer segment/reception, following. I am aware that a special reception will follow the performance.
The honorarium is dollars (all checks are payable to Ge’ylah Bradford).
Sponsor shall provide one–night’s lodging in no less than a four star hotel, ground transportation to and from hotel and pre-performance needs as stated. ( your signature will be reuired) ______________________________________

Pre-Performance
One hour, prior to performance, artist will need access to a private, secure room with working outlets. The room should be well lit and spacious enough to accommodate costume and wardrobe changes and other performance items. There should be a generous supply of oranges, unopened, cold, bottled water and Snapple Lemon Tea, (substitutes are acceptable, when necessary) Two bottles of water and a paper cup should be placed out of view, on the podium.

Technical Set-Up
The preferred performance area is a theater with a proscenium stage. It should have LCD Projector, Screen, VHS and DVD accommodations and a spotlight. The stage area should have a cordless microphone w/ stand, coat rack, podium, and a chair. There should also be one body microphone available to the artist.
Five–seven hours priors to performance, there shall be a two-hour rehearsal with no less than two technical assistants and one- stagehand. These individuals should be well trained in the day – to day operation of the theater and equipment, well trained in audio/visual, lighting and sound, and be prepared to provide assistance for the entire rehearsal and performance.
If sponsor is not able to provide the preferred performance or technical requests or if alternative plans must be made, please discuss all necessary arrangements with a Power of the Tongue staff member, prior to show date.

Transportation
Arrival/Departure
Sponsor shall provide artist with ground transportation to and from all points of travel, from arrival into the city to departure from city, relevant to “Power of the Tongue” performance.
Promotional Activity
Any promotional material, interviews, newspaper articles, captions or references made to the artist, will refer to her as (name) “Ge’ylah“ (genre title) “Performance Poet”. Video or audio taping is prohibited unless permission is granted by the artist, prior to the performance. In as much, the artist shall receive two courtesy copies of all recorded media or news articles. Artist reserves the right to sell promotional products relevant to the presentation, which may include, but is not limited to books, T – Shirts, tapes, CD’s, postcards and photographs. At the artist’s discretion, artist may consent to a question/answer segment, interview,
autographs, photographs, institutional tours, or other reasonable promotional activity related directly to artist appearance at sponsor. To avoid, when booking a date, sponsor will notify Bradford & Associates of any activities surrounding the presentation.
Cancellations:
Any cancellation’s (except those based on acts of God, i.e., tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, and earthquakes) of Power of the Tongue will result in a 25% cancellation fee. At the discretion of the artist, as time permits, rescheduling may be permitted. If a date is rescheduled, sponsor must reschedule within 10 business days of cancellation and the performance must be within 30 calendar days of original date.
