This is the program booklet from the National African-American Student Leadership Conference held at Rust College. I treasure it because when I found out that Molefi Asante was  keynoting, I got so excited. Asante? at one of my performances. Then, I got so nervous, I thought I was going to go thorugh the floor. I had butterflies for days. I don't know how I got through that performance. He told me that he wanted me to open up for him sometimes, I'm still waiting Dr. Asante.
This letter serves as a constant reminder of why  I am obligated to  remain patient, calm and humble. The words aren't really visible but, it arrived at my office attached to a scoring sheet that went to a great majority of Minn. universities. I received a perfect score and was told about students who had been totally on fire since they experienced my show.  They also thanked me for my relentless patience during the pre-show rehearsal. Let's just say, everything that could, went wrong.--but, the show turned out great. The foremost memorable element of this show was that there were about 700 students at this show, all of whom were caucasian. Due to a room conflict, these students waited for over an hour on their own free-will to attend the performance. They were very excited about my appearance. So many of them were moved to tears by the performance. I was extremely humbled by the whole experience.

It's self-explanatory. In Ft. Smith, Arkansas, I  have my own day. The Honorable Mayor Ray Baker presented me with a key to the city. And, proclaimed March 30 Ge'ylah Jones Bradford Day.

My ABSOLUTE  Most prized possession. A greeting card from Nikki Giovanni: (after a performance I invited her to my house)

"Dear Ge'ylah. thank you so much for your invitation. It's nice to know we have a home among friends we have just met. Thank you for your generosity."
