A Report to Dr. King
Ge'ylah celebrates the life and mission of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with dramatic poetry, narrative video clips,  entertaining music  and an interactive skit with Dr. King, Ge'ylah and the audience.  A special promo poster with event location, time and date of performance is included.. The lterary component  is comprised of  works by Nikki Giovanni, Sonia Sanchez, Haki Madhubuti, Anthony J. Bradford, James Weldon Johnson, Gwendolyn Brooks, Mari Evans, Coretta Scott King, Maya Angelou, and Ge'ylah.   

The Power of the Tongue
A tribute to the oral tradition, Black History and Black literature rolled all in to one, " Power of the Tongue" is a  60 - 75 minute multi - media performance anchored in poems, prose pieces, soliloquies, monologues and other classic literary favorites. Music and historic video footage undergird performance. If requested, question and answer session follows the performance. Works performed include " Upon Being Brought From Africa to America"  -  Phyllis Wheatley, " The Prodigal Son"  - James Weldon Johnson,  " I, Too, Sing America "  -  Langston Hughes,  " W.E.B. and Booker T " - Dudley Randall, " I AM A Black" - Gwendolyn Brooks, " For My People" - Margaret Walker Alexander, " What Shall I Tell My Children Who Are Black" - Margaret Taylor Burroughs , "Still I Rise" - Maya Angelou, "Improvisations" - Sonia Sanchez, " Southern Hospitality" - Nichole L. Shields, "Strange Fruit" - Billie Holiday and works by the performance poet herself. Upon request, " Power of the Tongue"  classroom guide is available for instructors. 

One Less Road to Travel
Women have shaped  the world and women writers helped to create the mold. In this dynamic, audience interaction performance  hear the works and words of famous and ordinary women. Famous poetry, maxims, monologues and soliloquies are enveloped with music and video footage. Select  from Ge'ylah's Multi-cultural or Afrocentric version of this celebratory show. Performance may include, but is not limited to the  works and words of Maya Angelou, Sylvia Plath, Emily Dickinson, Phyllis Wheatley, Ge'ylah, Nichole Shields,  Sonia Sanchez, Emily Post, Margaret walker Alexander, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Louisa Mae Alcott, Rita Dove and more.

Ge'ylah performs the National Poetry extravaganza show at venues ranging from public schools to inaugural halls.  She utilizes the art of performance poetry to help individuals become more aware of their historic presence.
